What to Expect

I believe if a piece is worth keeping, it is worth the extra effort to do it right. My process isn't about hiding flaws with a quick coat of paint—it is about restoring the “soul” of the furniture.

Built to Last I start by making sure the piece is actually solid. I fix wobbly legs and loose joints before I ever touch the finish. A beautiful table isn't worth much if it isn't stable.

Meticulous Prep I spend the most time on the parts you don't see—stripping it back, smoothing it down, and cleaning the wood properly. This is the only way to make sure the new finish actually bonds and stays beautiful for years.

Industrial Quality I use professional-grade coatings that are built to handle daily life. Whether it’s natural wood or a custom color, I want your piece to make a “second first impression” that actually lasts.

A Note on Value My goal isn't to appraise furniture or increase its market resale value. In fact, refinishing can sometimes decrease the “collector value” of rare antiques. My sole mission is to give new life to heirloom pieces so they can be used, enjoyed, and passed down for another generation.

I help preserve the story, not the “investment”.

Pricing & Investment

I price most surfaces by the square foot. Things like legs, bases, repairs, or heavy detail are quoted separately because they simply take more time and care.

Common Starting Points:

  • Refinishing (includes stripping): starting at $35/sq ft
  • Custom Paint Finish: starting at $20/sq ft
  • Stripping Only: starting at $20/sq ft
  • Finish Restoration (no stripping): starting at $20/sq ft
  • Repairs & Detail Work: Quoted per project

Shop projects start at $200
On-site work start at $250

For example: A standard 6-foot dining table top is usually around 18–20 sq ft.
(I'll confirm all the math once I see your photos and dimensions.)

Pickup & Delivery Schedule

To keep quality high and timelines honest, I accept up to 7 projects per month (this may adjust depending on the scope and scale of each piece). Once your deposit is received, your project is reserved and placed into the next available slot—you can view current availability on the calendar on the Get Started page.

For projects scheduled in a given month, pickup happens on the first Monday and delivery happens on the last Friday. If anything needs to shift due to finish cure time, repairs, or an unexpected detail that impacts the schedule, you’ll be notified right away.

Common Questions

Do you handle pickup and delivery?

Yes. To ensure your furniture is safe from start to finish, I handle the heavy lifting. I include professional pickup and delivery for nearly all of my projects.

Will this increase the resale value?

My goal is to give new life to heirloom pieces, not to appraise them or guess their market worth. Refinishing can actually lower the "collector value" of rare antiques, but it greatly increases the beauty and durability for your home.

What kind of finish do you use?

I use industrial-grade coatings (like 2K polyurethanes) that offer much better resistance to water, chemicals, and daily wear compared to typical paints or oils found at a retail store.

Do you paint kitchen cabinets?

No—It Is ReFinished is a dedicated furniture shop. I specialize strictly in free-standing pieces like dining sets, dressers, and heirlooms rather than cabinetry or built-ins.

How do I maintain my new finish?

Maintenance is simple. Because I use high-performance industrial coatings, you don't need waxes or special polishes. A damp microfiber cloth is usually all you need to keep the piece looking beautiful for years.

Do you provide color samples?

Absolutely. Once I get the piece stripped, I can create custom samples on the actual wood species of your piece or th epiece itself depending on availability of material. This ensures you know exactly how the color will react before I apply the final finish.

Can you fix structural issues?

Yes. Structural integrity is the foundation of a lasting legacy. I fix wobbly legs, loose joints, and missing veneer before I ever start the finishing process to ensure the piece is whole again.

Where are you located?

The shop is located in Rogers, Arkansas.
I proudly serve neighbors across the NWA corridor, including Bentonville, Fayetteville, and Springdale.
